How RBA Works

We help SaaS startups reach Series A more safely – giving founders the capital to scale while protecting early investors’ stakes.

  • Get funded fast
Receive an advance (e.g., $100,000) directly into your Modu Business Account.
No waiting months for investors or dealing with rigid bank loans.
  • Invest in growth
Use the funds where they drive impact:
    • Marketing & customer acquisition
    • Hiring top talent
    • Product development
    • Essential operating costs
  • Repay flexibly
Pay back a fixed % of your monthly revenue (e.g., 15%).
    • Slow month → lower payments
    • Strong month → faster repayment
    • Always capped, never endless debt
  • Stay in control
    No equity dilution. No collateral.
Just predictable growth capital tailored to your SaaS.
Example
A SaaS company sells an AI-agents subscription for ₸270,000 ($500) per month with MRR = ₸54M ($100K).

The challenge: needs ₸27M ($50K) to fund a Google Ads campaign with customer acquisition cost = ₸216,000 ($400) per client.
The solution: takes an RBF advance from Modu. Funds land directly in the business account.

The result: 125 new customers acquired → ₸33.7M ($62.5K) in new recurring revenue → faster growth and faster repayment.

Repayment: 15% of revenue is automatically allocated until the advance + premium is fully paid. When revenue grows, repayment accelerates.

  • Requirements
Proven SaaS business model – Your company should generate predictable, recurring revenue.
Revenue history – At least 6 months of stable Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR).
Minimum MRR – $10,000 or equivalent in local currency (KZT) to ensure eligibility.

Connected financials – Access to your business accounts and payment systems (Stripe, PayPal, bank accounts, accounting software) is required for scoring and real-time funding assessment.
These criteria ensure that Modu can quickly evaluate your business, offer a fair advance, and automate repayments based on your actual revenue.

Existing Investors – Your cap table should reflect any current investors (angels, VCs). This helps Modu understand ownership structure and align RBF terms without diluting existing equity.
Preserving founder and early investor ownership is a key advantage of RBF. Providing this information ensures transparency and smooth onboarding.
