Invoice Payer Terms

These Invoice Payer Terms (these “Terms”) are between Modu Technologies LLP (“Modu,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and you, the person or entity paying an invoice through a Modu payment link (the “payer”). By submitting a payment, you agree to these Terms. You are not creating a Modu account, and no ongoing relationship with Modu is created except as described below.

These Terms apply when you pay an invoice that a Modu customer (the “merchant”) has sent you using Modu Invoicing, including a one-time payment or a payment made under a recurring invoice series.

Modu provides the software that displays the invoice and the payment page. Modu does not hold funds and is not a party to the underlying transaction between you and the merchant. Your payment is processed by a licensed banking or payment partner, which moves the funds and is responsible for doing so.

When you submit a payment, you authorize the payment partner to:

  • charge the payment method you provide for the invoice amount shown; and
  • debit any fees disclosed to you before you confirm the payment (if any).

You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide. A payment may be delayed, reviewed, or declined for fraud or risk reasons, or as required by law.

If the invoice is part of a recurring series and you enable autopay, you authorize the payment partner to charge your payment method automatically for each future invoice in the series, on or after its due date, until you cancel. You can cancel autopay at any time using the link in the payment confirmation or the invoice emails, or by contacting the merchant. Cancelling autopay does not cancel invoices that are already due — you remain responsible for paying them. If a recurring charge fails, it may be retried; repeated failures will cancel autopay.

Refunds, credits, and any dispute about the goods or services, the amount, or the merchant's performance are between you and the merchant. Modu does not adjudicate these disputes. If a completed payment is later returned or reversed (for example, a chargeback), the merchant may pursue the amount from you directly.

We process the information you provide to complete and record your payment and to prevent fraud, as described in our Privacy Policy. The payment partner also processes your payment-method details under its own terms and privacy policy.

These Terms are governed by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Questions about a payment made through Modu can be sent to support@modu.kz, though questions about the invoice itself should go to the merchant.
